I've seen the ninja idea of "hitting" and it's vastly inferior to even Judo atemi. In fact, a Judoka using the punching skill they are born with is a superior striker to anyone in the bujinkan and most JJJ since they train like a real athlete.

No art is complete. Not even BJJ (sacrilage!) That's why we have crosstraining.

And don't even think that the 'striking' in the Bujinkan will put you on anything like even terms with other striking arts.

You'd be better off doing judo + kickboxing, with a bias towards one or the other.

Don't do Judo then, do MMA it's got strikes, throws, take downs, and submissions all trained in a more realistic manner with better conditioning.

However MMA doesn't have tabi, masks, swords and smoke bombs.

I would love to see a smoke bomb used in a MMA match, that would be cool.
