Skipping ahead before I read past here, but from I can find that law is a myth. In Canada the only laws pertaining to knives are to the opening and locking mechanisms. They cannot be spring loaded, and can't be butterfly knife style. You also can't carry it for purposes of self defense, only for "utility" purposes. I'm serious, I would never say I carry a knife in order to cut someone who attacked me. A cop could confiscate it then technically.Laws surrounding knives are stricter than those against guns. Because they are a "punk weapon," cheap and readily available, almost all states ban carrying knives larger than 3" (or 5cm for you Canucks.) -

Its illegal to carry in Scotland. But ontime I took an escrima out to some punks who paintballed my house. Instead of paintballing me they though they would rush me. So I took out my wakizashi and they turned and ran...(not before my bro shot most of them with a Ak-47 looking air soft type gun (im not famliar with guns)

To disarm you Glasgow lads you'd have to behead the entire lot of you, and also remove all the loose bricks and boards from the city streets. Tire irons and bicycle chains would have to go, and just in case you guys thought about using cabers again all the telephone lines would have to be removed. I don't see why you aren't allowed to posess firearms.
