What kind of bullshit is the "human mind" anyway? That's not a weapon, except maybe to demoralize your opponents by covering them in brains.

As for tanks I think they were talking just hand held weapons. If you add tanks and planes, then you have to figure out the best of each! (Which were also good shows)

My contention was just hand weapons but MEGA brought up plaines. I also disagree that tanks were worthless in ww1 they had some effect on the out come of the war since they were a direct responce the the MG. They also played a small part in the following major war.........Blitzkreig anyone?

Tanks had virtually no effect on the outcome of WW1. The few isolated incidences of tanks kicking ass were squelched when the ground gained was promptly lost again.

Like I said, tanks just revived a defunct role.

What about the effect in WW2?

And if it is a defunct role the what about the horse as a weapon in that case?

Maxim Gun. First machinegun that was actually efficient. Used to great effect by British colonial forces to mow down African savages who disliked being forcibly civilized. Apparently, 50 guys armed with 4 maxim guns managed to beat back an attack of 5000 Zulu warriors at one point.

Swords played huge rules in plenty of wars, but aren't particularly revolutionary - just a club with an edge.

Same with the horse, an extentsion of existing tactics moreso than a total introduction of new tactics.
