Greatest Ever Weapons?

I was flicking through channels and happened across The Discovery Channel’s “Greatest Ever: Weapons” This list included:

The Barret 82
The Long-bow
The Pike
The Kalashnikov AK47
The Tommy Gun
The Walther PPK
The Boomerang
The Arcabus
Man Himself

The show went on to describe why these were chosen, and I can’t be bothered to remember or type it out. I was wondering what everyone else thought? Do you agree, or is there something else you think deserves to be on this list instead? (Excluded Kamehameha’s etc, real weapons please :laughing7) Also if anyone else caught this and remembers what the 10th weapon was that would be great.

The M1923a was used by the military it was simply phase out during WW2 because they could build M3 grease guns cheaper and faster.

As far as I know the Thompson submachine gun was issued to American troops in WW2, but with a standard rectangular magazine instead of the drum commonly seen in the media.

Another Soviet designed weapon, the RPG-7, should be on this list.

I saw some Omani daggers and an Arabian straightsword yesterday.

Apparently the art of using them has been lost though.

Here I was thinking that the US made the RPG.

I think the G-18 should be on this list.

Oh and I'm partial to Katana's. Best sword me thinks.
