Actually it's more of the location of the padding. Don't get me wrong, I believe Reyes has similiar glove to Thai but you can actually grab better with Thai glove. Visually there is less padding on the back of this gloves. Effectively I can feel my knuckles through a thai pad. Personal experiance here I don't know if any of my findings are actual fact.
