Style: TKD; BJJ--
If you look at the actual techniques of TKD and Kyokushin (for example), they are almost identical. Sure TKD has more spinning jumping kicks but other than that, KK also has axe kicks, spinning hook/back kicks, side kicks, etc. The difference between TKD and KK is in the training methods. If TKD started bareknuckle full contact competition, it would probably start to look like KK (or else no one would ever get knocked out).
if you train any style in an extremely hardcore manner, you can probably make it work simply because all the crappy techniques of that style would not work and you'd have to modify them or get rid of them and find better ones. -
