Alright guys...dont be shy, I want your opinion.

Okay guys. Im not sure if this is the right place to post this thread, I guess that will be determined more by your responses.
I want to know what you guys think of JKDC. Now, I know that there are alot of bad JKD guys out there, as many as there are guys who "claim" to teach real authentic BJJ. But There are some true JKD practitioners (who train full contact, train grappling, non-traditional weapons ect), and I wanted to think what you guys thought about these guys.
Oh, and for the record, I train in JKD, Kali, Hapkido, Muay Thai and Shooto.
So obviously, I train a minimum of 3 hours a night, and I was wondering where people stood in terms of JKD.
In short, here are my questions:
A) What do you think about the legitimacy of JKD and its training methods
B) Compared with other styles from a technical perspective (e.g. The use of trapping ect)

This belongs in the "Your martial art sucks" category. That's just a catchy name for when we discuss the merits or flaws of any MA.

I really have no opinion of JKD to be honest. Only person I ever met that claimed it also claimed to have a black belt in a completely fictional martial art... so the odd's they were lying are pretty damn high.

Well I used to train at SBG which claims to teach "JKD", it wasn't bad. I have some experience learning from a phase 1 instructor under Paul Vunak, he was pretty hard.

Based on what I have seen JKD is a good martial art. But the JKD schools I have seen look alot like kickboxing with some take downs. Nothing wrong with that.

The only JKD class I ever saw involved the students practising intricate knife defence and disarm techniques while wearing Army get up...

JKDC is gay, most of the guys are gay, your dad is gay, you're gay, Hapkido is gay, your momma is gay. I can't believe the gayness of this thread, next person to post on it is gay.

Hey, Im interested to note that their arnt many people who really agressivley discredit JKD. Interesting. I thought I was going to have to reference all those great JKDers who have proven themselves in the ring (Erik Paulson ect).

Seriously everybody who teaches JKD out to be given an enema. It's a fine line between good **** and bad ****. Be careful walking that line because if you're saying you're being taught JKD you're on the wrong side of that line.
