I have a few burning questions for lawyers...
It's been on my mind for awhile, and I'm not sure why... but, do lawyers watch Harvey Birdman?
Now, I have alot of contempt for lawyers, which, is not necessarily very fair of me. The only thing that I can think of to make me feel better about them is if they actually get a kick out of Harvey Birdman. I used to know quite a few attorneys and attorney wanna be's and somehow they always left me feeling a little like I just had an abortion. Kinda dirty, kinda empty, kinda like I just did something bad but I'm not sure what exactly it was.
So I guess what I'm really trying to ask, is how lawyers actually resolve the image of being a scumbag that is conjured into the minds of so many people when they hear the word lawyer.
No offense meant here, but I mean, it is pretty much one of the most common stereotypes out there. Think about it, lawyers are hated pretty much universally until you actually need one... but the whole reason you usually need one is to defend yourself against the possible future actions of another one.
I've jumped the gun a couple of times myself with being kinda shitty unnecessarily to lawyers (sorry sam), and even though I know I was wrong then... I still have a hard time feeling like I did something completely bad...
The only lawyer I ever knew that I liked was a defence attorney who taught my business law class when I was an undergrad student, and mostly I liked him because he had an amazing ability to make people laugh. Was that just a defence mechanism, some diabolical lawyer mind trick to get everyone to lower their guard and put away their crucifixes, or did he wear plaid 1940's style golf pants because he really did get a kick out of being funny?
See, there's another thing. Do you lawyer types ever get tired of always having to take **** just because you have a juris doctorate? And, if not, do you ever get tired of always having to look over your legal shoulder to insure that you won't be counter attacked/blindsided by some other lawyer?
I could post a million of these questions... but most of all, do you watch Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law. If not, please do, I think some of you lawyer types would get a kick out of it.A lie gets half-way around the world before the truth has time to get it's pants on. - Winston Churchhill

I've liked the lawyers I've met. I had an awesome poli sci professor that was a lawyer."No. Listen to me because I know what I'm talking about here." -- Hannibal

I liked the one where he represented Fred Flintstone when he thought he was the mafia don. Birdman put up evidence of Fred often getting hit on the head and thinking he was some wild personality (E.g. Frederico - International race car criver)
Harvey birdman is about the only lawyer show I'd watch.“We are surrounded by warships and don’t have time to talk. Please pray for us.” — One Somali Pirate.

I like the episode where he defends Shaggy and Scooby, and his pet eagle (or whatever it is, I forget) kills Scrappy Doo. What an annoying little fucker.
The episode where he defends the Jetsons is really good as well."No. Listen to me because I know what I'm talking about here." -- Hannibal

As an aspiring law student, yes, I do enjoy Birdman.--
