My preferred conceal is a Kimber UDP II, very small print.
Why don't you tell us what you are looking for exactly, where you will conceal, how many rounds, etc.
I can carry conceal a 4" 1911, to something as small as a 3" XD .40 or my Kimber.
If I can't carry IWB, I will use a S&W Airlite with pocket holster.

The slimness of a compact 1911 really lends itself to CC.
May I suggest a 4 or 4.25 inch variety which has a bobtail and generous dehorning. I shall be adding a bobtail to the 4.25 inch variety I have in the near future.

Because, let's face it; any fool can take something resembling an existing design and make it meet and exceed harsh "combat conditions". Great. In the meantime while you're NOT worrying about whether you can chip frozen mud out of your weapon in time to blast off 500 failure-free rounds, there's a ton of fun to be had in having something which is accurate and nice to look at. -

I own a Glock 23 and I will never carry anything else. Not only is it compact and powerfull, but it is easy to use. You can carry a round in the chamber and not worry about misfires provided you use a proper holster. Since the safties are all located in the trigger and the action, there is no safety catch to flip off.
As far as the .380 - I'd give it is miss. It's an underpowered round. Go with the .357 or the .40 - .45 if you can handle it. The Glock 23 can fire both .357 or .40 with a simple barrel change-out.
My brother carries too, and he's a Kimber guy - but he's 6'1" and I'm 5'7" with teeny hands to match so the Glock just fits naturally. If you're a big dude you might like the Kimber series, but if you're closer to my size, I promise you'll prefer the Glock. -

Might want to give the caliber more thought, as suggested. .380 and .40 are two very different animals. 9mm (9x19) would open up a few more options between those sizes, like the new Rohrbaugh. That would be small--REALLY small--smaller than many .380's, but that extra millimeter makes a lot of difference in power.
I don't carry concealed, so take my advice with a grain of salt.
