For some reason i can't see the video. But if a TKD school is doing some ground fighting, even if it sucks, good for them. Mabey this will urge some of the students to seek out better instruction. Mabey the school will pay a qualified fighter to come in and teach. At least they are recognizing that it is real and they had better investigate it. Don't get me wrong. it is still TKD. Mabey, just mabey, it will help one or two of them to start real training.

They aren't "doing groundfighting". They are playing around. You ever show some moves to a friend?
You can always make fun of them for doing TKD, but that's what they want to do. No mcdojo, no bullshido, nothing to see here. You can't make people smarter. You can expose them to information, but your responsibility stops there. -

They're wasting their time.
The guy in the black shirt beats the crap out of his students, but he's got some pretty big holes in his game, too.
Doesn't change level, but bends forward on takedown. Doesn't throw his leg over the head before dropping back on the armbar. Crosses his legs in backmount. And he's very stiff when he's holding mount.
I'd say he's a taekwondo guy who has cross-trained a bit (but nearly enough), and then returned to be the biggest fish in a tiny little pond.Last edited by Mjelva; 4/17/2006 11:38am at .

I'm glad they're atleast trying ground work, even if some one is handing you your rear end, unless you're a complete idiot you will pick up a couple of things. Good to see other people in my art also attempting to mix up their training, I would think even freestyle wrestling with little/no instruction is still beneficial.
On a side note, if you're gonna post some video of TKD in MMA might aswell
