    Keating goes New Age

I surfed over to James Keatings's webpage, http://www.jamesakeating.com/maajak1.html , and found a link to thei site Psi site: http://www.psipog.net/articles.php

There are also links to alien abduction sites and a site focusing on the "inter-dimensional war". Looks like somebody needs to step away from the bong and come back to the really real world.

Jim's been like that for a good long while, now. He's interested in paranormal/far out stuff. His page is just a random collection of links culled from the net. When you talk to him on the phone, he's actually a pretty straight dude. Although I won't argue on the "bong" thing. If past articles he's posted are any indication, he's got no problems with the herb...

You can't make people smarter. You can expose them to information, but your responsibility stops there.

I really never heard of this guy until this thread. Seems to have a knife fedish.
His website and some of his idea look stooooopid. But hey, whatever floats your boat.
People often tell me that I fail to see the gravity of the situation.
I see the gravity, and I say...

Step right up folks and watch me defy gravity!

He is practically God in the knife combatives world. I do not know first hand if he is legit.

He's been around awhile. Yeah, I think he's not averse to a toke here and there...

His core knife stuff is FMA based. He branched out into big knives and saber-fencing based methods about ten years ago (a la John Styers). Likes improvised weapons, too. From what I understand, it was getting mugged at knifepoint and getting cut pretty badly in the process that got him into knives. Before that he was a karate guy (Goju and Kenpo, I think?)

He's a good instructor and a friendly guy. Seems like some almost deify him, but he's more of an e-mail pen pal to me.
