Jim's been like that for a good long while, now. He's interested in paranormal/far out stuff. His page is just a random collection of links culled from the net. When you talk to him on the phone, he's actually a pretty straight dude. Although I won't argue on the "bong" thing. If past articles he's posted are any indication, he's got no problems with the herb...

He's been around awhile. Yeah, I think he's not averse to a toke here and there...
His core knife stuff is FMA based. He branched out into big knives and saber-fencing based methods about ten years ago (a la John Styers). Likes improvised weapons, too. From what I understand, it was getting mugged at knifepoint and getting cut pretty badly in the process that got him into knives. Before that he was a karate guy (Goju and Kenpo, I think?)
He's a good instructor and a friendly guy. Seems like some almost deify him, but he's more of an e-mail pen pal to me.
