Defence Against a Knife: Black Belt Test

Normally, running away from a guy with a knife would make some sense to me. However, if it were my black-belt test (which apparently this is), and we were stuck in a small room, I'd probably try to face the guy. Better to get stabbed in a test than in a bar or car park...

I didn't see any martial technique out of the attackee.... Did you?

Did that guy fail? I'd expect to see fighting technique representative of that art used in a black belt martial arts test.

I assume he failed - if someone gave me a black belt after a display like that, I'd give it back.
