I'm with Kien Haar on this. If I have to use it, I want it to be reliable, dependable, accurate and tough as nails. I don't want to rest my life on a piece of **** gun.

Another vote for the 1911. Got a Springfield. Not a TRP or Professional, but a "loaded" model with stuff like a nice beavertail (I still can't help but giggle when I say that out loud) and custom grips. Nice and accurate.
