Trapping them is incredibly difficult as rabbits will avoid traps that have a human scent, but you can still try the dumb-looking, yet somewhat effective box traps:

On a wooden platform set a box slightly open with some bunny edible **** in it to bait the future lunch... err... bunny. The box can be kept open with a stick attached to a string that you can pull (if you can see the bunnies muching in your garden, you can use a string for this).

Or you can set the string as a triangular base where the string ends are tied to the box and the vertix on the stick holding the box together. If the bunny gets inside and trips the string, the box will close on top of him.

It's not 100% guaranteed, but it works. I used these things to trap bunnies when I was a teen (and when I had a LOOOOT of time for being a moron waiting for a bunny to get in the trap.)

Once you get the bunny you can kill it by holding it from the rear legs, swing it around and hit his head to the ground :dead:
Then get another bunny and make Bunnychucks.

Ohhh bunny. Bunnies are cute. Seriously though those bunnies can get through and under fences.

3 options I can think of

    1. Posion. If you don't have pets, just gas the fuckers
    2. Rifle + scope. Turn a few of them inside side out. Requires a lot of patience.
    3. Get a Cat. Particularity a breed that likes to hunt. Let him in the back yard. Besideshumans, cats are the only animals that kills for fun. So let him have fun.

You can practice your shuriken skills on them.

I'd kill them and eat them, rabbit's good food. It'd be like having a buffet in your backyard. I wouldn't mine blowing away some of the deer that live around here, they're always sneaking into people's yards and crapping all over the place while chomping on your bushes but unless you actually hit them with your car you can't take them unless they're in season.

    Luckily I have a '96.

KageKaze is correct, burrowing could be a problem. However, cotton tailed rabbits do not burrow. They occupy the burrows of other animals. I think you probably have cotton tails, but I am not sure of the types of rabbits in your area.

Just killing the animals is a complete waste of time and energy. If there is still food, water, and/or cover you are always going to have some type of critters around.

I think getting a cat to kill them is smart, but cats can be a lot of work (shots and such). You could always try scent based repellents. You would have to use those repeatedly though.

Animals are made for eating. Snack on the little buggers.

    Or get a dog.
