Very true, but you won't always have access to a gun. And of course I speak strictly on a one on one H2H scenario.

    Uh...

Yeah... seen alot of aikidoka kicking ass in the ring lately, and that time the monkey style master cross trained in dog boxing and did the 7 point exploding heart punch on Cro Cop was freaking awesome.

Then, there was the time a shaolin monk defeated a 7 headed dragon to prevent a mountain from falling on UFC 4 but couldn't compete because he was too busy re-aligning his chi after using dim maks on all the dragons heads.

Look dude, I'm not gonna rail too much on this point... but, some of the rationale behind alot of the techniques that come up in some arts is more than a little fruity.

My personal experience is that BJJ > my random flailing on the ground.

    I've seen the fight.

Denis had him on the ground in side control and threw a knee that connected to Weir's eye area. Apparently breaking some bone. Couple seconds after the knee connected, Weir tapped. The knee didn't look that bad, Denis' landed some "better" knees early in the fight.

My instructor was in the corner for Denis', and Aurelio's fight. Lucky bastard :notworthy

And he's actually away right now in Korea, Denis' is fighting this weekend. Apparently against someone who trains out of BJ Penn's gym.

    Enough with the bullshit excuses.

Falling down and somebody hitting you in the face is not effective technique or strategy.

Somebody needs to start a thread of pre-packed excuses for you ball lickers when Royce gets his ass handed to him by Hughes.

Did you watch the whole fight? And practically no one is under the delusion that Royce has a chance with Hughes.
