My only MA experience is a year of Krav and high school wrestling. :eatbaby: These guys look legit, but my inexperience may allow me to fall prey to bullshido. Post-katrina new orleans doesn't exactly have alot of options as far as schools.. hell i drive 30 minutes just for Krav class. Any feedback would be appreciated. Things i should look for? BJJ specific questions i should ask?
They drop some names such as Leonardo Xavier... any BJJ'er hear of him?
Going to try a class wednesday. Wil report.

Thanks... but i'd actually like to learn something, and i don't intend on going to jail. Filthy jailhouse tactics sounds like porn anyway.

According to BJJ.org, Xavier is legit, and according to his website the school is really an affiliate of his.
The head instructor is that guy who's in the new season of TUF! The only weird thing I can see is that the site claims a 32-2 record but according to fcfighter he's only 4-2. Possibly a typo or something.
It all looks pretty good. I suggest you try a class and see if you like it.

I saw people from Xavier's school compete this year at the Pan Ams. They looked good.

Gutty Muggiati used to be in NOLA iirc, but think he's gone now. Anyway, point to that being that might have been the place he was at for all I know. Not really sure.
