I like this comment.I think its a question of pride. Some people have been doing martial arts in a particular style for so long, they don't wish to be made to feel like a beginner by getting into grappling/groundfighting and starting all over again.
Though it shouldn't make them feel like such junk if they realize that grappling is very very different.
Maybe thier just misinformed. -
