Why is it, in this day and age, people still dont' train for the ground?

Blatantly stolen from the UG. Goddamn, this is some fucked up **** here.

didn't seem to make much difference. Did the guy in the pants actually hit him?

Agreed. As I was watching I saw the guy in the pants lock his feet (ie. get into guard) and thought maybe he had some training in BJJ. As it progressed it turned not to be the case at all.

Hm. I can't decide if that was a make-out session gone horribly wrong or a fight.

I mean, you get the guy with the double leg, he goes down, you slip his pathetic guard, and you don't even get a bloody nose out of the ground and pound? What kind of weak, pussified punches was he throwing?

Oh, and all the haymakers were hilarious.

But what I did not see on "teh street" was 1) the guy who went for the double-leg shattering his knees on teh concrete and teh gravel 2) the guy in pants' friends coming in to beat the "grappler," or anyone using the much vaunted nut shots, eye pokes, bites, or the like.

I think we can safely conclude from this evidence that 1) people with no training cannot fight and 2) all arguments about street versus ring are bullshit.
