So... I'm being offered a fight against a 50 year old

So, essentially what I'm hearing is that I'm being offered a NHB fight against a 50 year old guy. His record is 0-4 and he is supposedly a kung fu guy. The fight would probably be at 155. For the record, I'm 20 and today when I weighed myself, I was ~148. This would take place in about a month.

I don't know what to do. I guess I will talk to Kirik for the rest of the details on Wednesday, but jeez. This event is going to be held at my school's convention center type place. The next night, the same place is holding our Spring Concert which is featuring Roots. So... this will be in front of a lot of my schoolmates and friends.

Consider my mind blown. And to be honest, I wasn't really looking to get a fight this early... Well, we'll see, there are many questions to be answered and many issues to be resolved before I will agree to take this fight.

Yea, the only thing worse than winning and not impressing anyone cause it's a 50 year old guy is losing to a 50 year old guy. Sigh... Well, I emailed Kirik, I will post as much info as I can get on this guy, but I'll probably be purposely vague when talking about myself.

When someone looks at your record they're not going to see 1-0(against an old dude), They just see the number.

if it looks like you are losing, get yourself disqualified. being DQed is probably better than losing to a 50 year old guy with an 0-4 record

Okay, what I'm getting from Kirik is he is "self-trained"... Well, I bet I wouldn't have much trouble on the ground then, but as I said, I won't jump on this without all the information I should have.
