Do you carry?

Oh hail ye Dogs of War!

How many of you carry a weapon of some sort on a daily basis? I'm just curious how many of us are actually prepared to respond to a violent situation and with what. I'm not talking bar fights or other BS either.

Secondary question... Of those who carry, how well trained are you with your choice of weapon?

I'll start:

I live in KKkalifornia and don't have a CCW allowing me to carry a firearm. Being the model upstanding citizen that I am I choose to carry bladed weapons in lieu of. On any given moment while outside of the house I carry at least one knife on my person at all times and up to two to three on occasion. Does this make my crazy paranoid? Perhaps, but each has its use and method of carry/deployment and sometimes these uses overlap.

In my truck I have another knife at hand (in case for some rare reason I forgot to leave the house with one) and a heavy duty Mag-Lite with two D Cell batteries.

In my house, well... that's another story.

In terms of training I am decent enough with edged weapons to be dangerous but new enough to be dangerous in a bad way as well. I am learning more all the time however and I have an edge that helps makeup for my lack of training. Mindset. I am fully prepared to defend myself and my love ones by any means necessary. That is not always a good thing but surely necessary for one who chooses to carry. I have far more experience with firearms than bladed/impact weapons but once again until I can justify to my local government why I should be allowed to carry one I am legally bound by the bullshit law.

That being said... please post your choice or non-choice to carry and your training.

The first rule of getting a CCW told to you by your Instructor is not tell anyone you carry.

Daily carry can be anything from a S&W Airlite .38 to any of my 1911's, but I always have a soft spot for my H&K USP .40

I have quite a bit of training in the use of Firearms. I'll be continuing it next month. I'd love to go into detail, but I already made a training log about it.

One can conclude by this method of carry that you can use a "short stroke" to draw your weapon?

On the positive tip you do have an unlimited supply of strings at hand. Females who carry in your method might find this difficult. Unless they are French.

Do you know how to use it properly? Don't be offended by my question, as I'm just curious. I've carried a knife for years but had minimal skill 99% of that time. I'm just now doing something more about it.
