Curiouser and curiouser. Doesn't take to long to find out Chris Anderson is a full instructor under Paul Vunak, so a purple belt in BJJ isn't out of the question. The way that answer is phrased though, makes me wonder if he is no longer with Pedro.

This sounds more like a case of politics and infighting than crappling.

Ok. I will not worry about it then. I just thought I should research the guy before I joined up.

    Thanks.

Ndakato, what is your relationship with Plato986?
And that's when I figured out that tears couldn't make somebody who was dead alive again. There's another thing to learn about tears, they can't make somebody who doesn't love you any more love you again. It's the same with prayers. I wonder how much of their lives people waste crying and praying to God. If you ask me, the devil makes more sense than God does. I can at least see why people would want him around. It's good to have somebody to blame for the bad stuff they do. Maybe God's there because people get scared of all the bad stuff they do. They figure that God and the Devil are always playing this game of tug-of-war game with them. And they never know which side they're gonna wind up on. I guess that tug-of-war idea explains how sometimes, even when people try to do something good, it still turns out bad.

One in the same. I can't use the plato986 account for some reason. It kept freezing up on me, and wasn't working. So I created this one, which works. Feel free to delete plato986, if there's a rule about having two accounts.

Edit: I just read the acount a bility, rule. Is there any way for me to close the other one, so I don't get banned?

You're pretty much going to have to go to Virginia shitty Beach. I know there's a Gustavo Machado school there

Tiger Kai Martial Arts in Portsmouth apparently has BJJ classes under the direction of Machado as well:

I dunno if Portsmouth is any closer to you than Virginia Beach. Again, I think your best bet at finding a school would be to look in Virginia Beach.

As far as Newport News goes, the only place I know of that might have BJJ is Walker's Mixed Martial Arts. It's on Warwick Blvd. about 1/2 mile from where it intersects with Mercury, in a small shopping next to a traffic light, just past the Amtrak station, just before Monty's Penguin. It'll be on the same side of the street as the Penguin.

I don't know anything about it or what they offer, other than that they used to be a TKD school.
