New Grips

Just put new synthetic front grips on my AK. Still looking for a new stock though, and will probably eventually get some better ones that have a built in rail (or 2... or 8).

$12 for both, from Midway USA. Not too shabby. Was a hell of a lot easier to install them than I thought it'd be.

I think that the wood grips are part of the charm of the weapon, although I do realize the allure of lighter weight plastic grips with rails.
I am more of an SKS man myself.

I've been waiting on a Helix since February.

PSE drills their stabilizer attachments directly into the riser, don't they? I don't like that.

I don't know. My area of expertise isn't compound bows. I pwned a PSE Polaris when I was a young 'un, my mommy wouldn't let me own a gun, but a compound bow was just fine...

Yeah, a little. But the main thing is that it's easier to hold on to, or at least feels that way.

When did the discussion move to compounds? I'm buying a recurve riser called the Helix, and I think PSE drills the stabilizer point into all their machined risers, be they recurve or compound.
