    you're looking too hard into that ****. if a tai chi guy evicerates you with a "short power" punch one day, great, but until then, why would you care at all?

    Make no mistake, i actually think the ability to do short power is probably really great. But it's never taken to a dynamic environment(like a boxing match)

    I think shovel hooks are how short power looks in actual application, i think that it is true short power.

    But maybe thats just me.throwing pure theory around.

    So technically; boxers are internal martial artsists! ::bully:

    No, im saying that those who train in styles that use 'short power' never test it like boxers do.

    I dunno about the use of any destinct sort of "short power" strikes, but I do believe that hung gar and taichi people compete in sanshou comps. I have my doubts that what they do ends up looking much different from what your run of the mill kickboxer does, however. Maybe Liokault can enlighten us some day. Maybe not.
