I was there and saw it live and I gotta say I was stunned at how fucking fast that guy kicks. Me landed at least two back spinning side kicks and even landed a crescent kick (!) to the face. THe back spinning side kick - right punch to the face was fucking awesome.

For watching it you wouldn't have know it wasn't a kickboxing match - I was disappointed to not get to see the supplex in action."You know what I like about you, William? You like guns AND meditation." -

I was there too. Cung's opponent was a another San Shou guy, Mike Altman, who also had 3 MMA fights before this one. He and Cung have fought before and are good friends. Although he listed BJJ on his resume, he likely choose to strike because he knew he had no chance of taking Cung down and didn't want to get tossed himself.

As I've said before, if- and this is a big 'if'- Cung Le takes his MMA training seriously, I believe we'll see the second coming of Cro-Cop.
Sure, you can argue that Cung Le is not the best striker in the history of the world. But he's certainly one of the best competing in MMA right now, and I'd be surprised if anyone in his weightclass could match him, mutch less beat him, standing up. -
