yep. Hunt beats silva? NO word of it anywhere in new zealand. MMA as a sport does not exist as far as media here is concerned. in fact before about 2 years ago they never showed k-1 unless Ray Sefo was on and even then it was at like 11:30 on a sunday night or some stupid ****.
although I have to say, Dixon McIver, the guy who organises k-1 n new zealand, has done huge amounts for the local scene. especially with the k-1 oceania qualifier being held here earlier this year with guys like Aerts and Schilt in attendance. even so it doesnt register a spot on the 6 o clock news even though we have half of the news hour dedicated to sport.Nick says:
