I don't understand jun fa (which i assume they train in, considering that is the name of the martial art bruce lee founded based upon his popular philosophy called jeet kune do... who knows what's going on there :S) with sufficient depth to defend it, nor do i care about its rep. however i urge you to attend a training session before you judge it, rather than condemning the art based on internet based video clips

That really does look very different than what I train in. Of course, I suck, so go I'm not going to be JKD's n00b defender.

that's reasonable. there were in fact some positive things in the video, but my opinion based on that video isn't terribly good.

i would change my mind in a second if i went to a class and it looked good.

So you don't understand it and won't defend it, but nobody else should judge it based on the materials they put out to demonstrate what it is?

Upon viewing the clip, no it doesn't look like wing chun.
Jun Fan contains Wing Chun. A lot of that clip resembles the wing chun drills they practice. That clip is a demo that attempts to make those drills look combative. It fails.

Their Jun Fan demo was typical of a "JKD" demo. The sparring was crap. They need to learn "JKD" from Erik Paulsen.

Well I won't attemp to defend it because i don't possess sufficient understanding to do so, also as i said it makes little difference to me whether it has good bullshido rep. You can judge the style by the clip if you want i can't stop you but i would suggest that it doesn't really tell you much about how good the style is, irrespective of whether it looks good or not. Also i feel it is neccessary to point out that it was almost definitely not made as an advertisement to other martial artists.

I reiterate, it does not look like wing chun. If you're challenging this I'm gonna have to ask what experience you are basing such a challenge on.
