I'm more centralized on TKD and Kickboxing, the Hapkido and Gumdo i'm a little less adamant about.

I started training to lose weight, and a bit for self defense. So far i've dropped 60 pounds, and have effectively used my training on three different people on three different occasions.

the Tae Kwon Do style is WTF but we train a bit differently then your average Dojang. We don't do point sparring, we do continuous. We spend on average maybe 30 minutes a day on forms. We do 1 and 5 steps.

I take the Kick Boxing to fill in some of the gaps and ring work not really talked about when people teach Tae Kwon Do, hand techniques are a real plus as well.

I take the Hapkido as its offered with my Tae Kwon Do training...not really my forte but I'm giving it a go, the falls have saved my life on the job, when i really could have hurt myself.

I do the Kumdo, because I feel Tae Kwon Do lacks a flow, I really like the aspect of large circular movement that goes along with Kumdo, even if it is training with a sword, which I could never see myself nor anyone I know carrying one around on the street, so be that as it may, its excercise for me I guess.

As you can probably tell I much prefer striking to ground fighting, I do realise its neccessary to learn it, to be a well rounded Martial Artist, but unfortunately all the schools around my area that teach it...are well bullshido.

Here's how my training schedule goes

    12:30 - 2:30 Kick Boxing

So you are saying you train roughly 7 & 1/2 hours a day ... Five days a week .

No school ? No job ? Just Korean Martial Arts ?

    Good Luck .

Why not? Here's my daily schedule.

3:00 - 4:00: Wake up, help sensei dress, prepare sensei's breakfast, then feed it to him.
4:00 - 5:00: Clean the dojo, from top to bottom.
5:00 - 12:00: Meditative trainings. This could be literally meditating, or raking the zen garden out back, or doing other manual labor, like chopping wood.
12:00 - 1:00: Prepare sensei's lunch, then feed it to him.
    1:00 - 1:10: Point sparring
1:10 - 8:00 More meditative training. Sensei leaves to go buy porn and get dinner for himself around five.
8:30: Take it up the ass from sensei, or one of the senior students, then go to sleep.

You alright there? Your style of coughing is commonly associated to one who has been Grand Celestial Do-ed in the neck.

    Welcome to the forumz, n00blet.
