But for someone who carries conealed and isn't in the military or LE, it's just a goofy way to spend 70$. You could have purchased an excellent concealed holster with that much money. Not as sexy, but fifty times and functional.

It should be noted that I have a preference for function over form. Just look at my wife.

You can't carry concealed in Maryland. So it kinda a mute point.

Fair one. But even then, you should get a holster you intend to use, because when you carry, it should be in the same place every time. If you reherse your draw from the wrong place, in an emergency that is whre your hand will reflexively go. You should get a great holster that you can forsee using for the rest of you life and select a spot on your body you want to carry it.

I chose the right side of my waist on the belt, slighty twoard the rear on the outside of my pants for a few reasons. It's a good balance of fast-draw and concealment, it doesn't get in the way of my mobility for the most part, and no matter how chunky I get as I grow older, the outside the pants bit will keep my cosy. I've tried it all, a cross-draw inside my jacket (100% concelable and mobile, but too slow to draw, fell out of my jacket when I bent over in a restaurant on a date) the small of my back (I fell down and my shirt popped up, and my colonel asked "What is THAT?!" Too slow to draw.) So the best most universal place for me was the side of my belt, out side the pants, twoard the back. Just some advice.

Dude cross the border to virginia, the magical land of lower taxes (except the car tax), more beer choices etc, and much shorter waiting periods.

Heck, I live 1/2 mile away from the NRA's HQ. If you ever have a chance, check out their musuem, its free and quite interesting. Plus there is a 100 yard range under the building.
