    Foolish mortal!

Just like the fabled Samson, MMA fighters can only fight in a ring or cage. If they step outside these confinements they become powerless.

Just the other day I caught Matt Hughes in an alley, poked him in the eyes, kicked him in the balls and bit him and he cried like a girl.

I interrupted a Fedor seminar and hit him with a dark butterfly karma strike. He should die from it in about 40 years or so.

    is UFC bullshido?

Yes, because there are no card girls, stand up resets and rounds in the street!

Now for a more serious comment.

Granted the UFC is around for entertainment purposes, however a question I have is would the inclusion of street shoes change how matches work? I train in street shoes and find they reduce flexibilty and inpede movement, but hurt a lot more when you connect with them.

I think they'd change some of the things i was willing to do (ie, i'd actively try and hit with the toe then, were i to accidently kick) but I dont think they'd make that much differance as far as movement and **** goes. The increased traction might actually be a boon in some ways.

My old MT instructor liked to train in shoes because you get better traction for ring movement.

While shoes might make a bit of a difference, it wouldn't affect shin kicks, which tend to be the most common type in MMA these days.
