Lost this weekend.
Got my first lost this weekend. I went down twice in the first. They tried to stop the fight after my first knockdown. I got up a little wobbly and the reff waived me off. I pleaded with him and then the promoter came over and after about a minute break the actually let the fight continue. So, I get dropped again. I jump back up this time not wobbly and finish up the round.
I do pretty good second round. I do better 3rd round until I throw the guy and hit him with an uppercut while he is down. Reff takes a point. I lose a decision. I probably would have lost anyway without the point being taken as I pretty much needed a KO to win after going down twice in the first.
Losing sucks but I will take it like a man and come back stronger and smarter."The next one I will take will pay for my loss. Someone has to pay!" ~ The Axe Murderer

So what was the reason that you went down twice? Was he overpowering you or did he just catch you with some well placed shots?I'll make one when I can find one I like.

He caught me with my hands down and punched me in the face. I was actually trying to hit him at the same time he was trying to hit me on the first knockdown. My lead hand was down from parrying a front kick. We both came with a cross but his got there first. We were pretty even in the skills and strength department. I even began to dominate in the end but he had already defeated me in the first.

Well at least you made it through to the decision. Sucks you couldn't catch him in time before it though.

bummer on your loss, keep beating that ass. Does your first loss feel in any way liberating? I hear people that go undefeated for a long time feel like a lot of pressure is taken off after they get their first loss. I'm just looking to get another win for once haha.Ranked #9 internationally at 118lbs by WIKBA http://www.womenkickboxing.com/wikba...rch%202009.htm

No, I dont feel liberated. Mainly I feel disappointed and motivated to become better. The motivation is good and the learning experience is good everything else pretty much sucks."The next one I will take will pay for my loss. Someone has to pay!" ~ The Axe Murderer
