Seeking Good School in North Hollywood CA 91601

All the schools I've come across so far are mcdojos (ie: Shadow Warriors Ninjitsu). Im leaning towards Genbukan or possibly Bujinkan if i find a good dojo, but im open to suggestions.

Don't train Bujinkan unless you are taking it directly from Hatsumi-sensei. The Bujinkan has become really screwy. I heard good things about some of the Genbukan, mainly because I hear they spar. As to were to find them in North Hollywood, I have no clue use the internet search. Hollywood, c'mon everyone is out to make a dollar there. Try not to find a ninjutsu Mcdojo.

Your concern has already been anwered on the other thread you made.

Some people here have experiance in Bujinkan and we do not reccomend it be taken for a good reason.

But I say again if you insisit on taking Bujinkan or Genbukan - make sure they train hard and do lots of sparring. Based on that you can assess the fighting ability of the clubs students. Persoanlly I would go with the other styles I mentioned.

Drink lot's of beer, and eat alot of potatoe chips whenever you can. Take Zanax (sp?) before every class, or smoke alot of pot... i mean, ALOT OF POT before every class and during traffic stops (cops love it when you do that).

He has the words "Village Idiot" under his name for a reason.

Um, in Japan its pretty much a rip off most of the time. I suggest finding a Kyokushin, Muay Thai, Judo, BJJ or Wrestling school.

Most of the Ninjer places are a waste of time except Dow's judging from what he writes and his reputation from trusted people. Most of the guys that I have seen when they came over to Japan were full of ****.

NORTH HOLLYWOOD!!

Classes are Saturday mornings from 10 - Noon. Say hi if you want to play.

EDIT: We sometimes make fun of ninjas though, so come with a tough skin.

you're in driving distance of half the top BJJ and MMA academies in the world ... and you're looking for a place where you can throw your time and money away?

Well Bas Rutten has a school in that neck of the woods, so does Rickson. Another persistant rumour is that a highly regarded UFC vet will be opening a club in that area within a few months. As most people have said you're within driving distance of a lot of great clubs and teachers, its not like you said you lived in Podunk, Idaho (no offense to my Idahoian brethren).

And which would those be?

Also after lots and lots of criticism ive decided that all types of ninjitsu completely suck balls now. I'm thinking about bjj while still open to opinions, so ya, what are they?
