How do they figure out who wins then, especially if there aren't a whole lot of knockouts? If the fighter performing the kumite gets knocked out, is it over for him, or does he get like, a recovery period and then continue?
I'm just asking because that dude looked pretty fucked up at the end; if KK awards ippons for knockdowns and things like that, he definately got a few against him from all the time he was just falling over from sheer exhaustion.
Rad ki was made up by adolescents. I do not know who created trad ki but it was not made by adolescents. your an ass dude, Im not being a little bitch you are, your past the level of a bitch. Your beyond Bitch! If im easting my time with ki and psi, then your wasting time to prove frauds, and all **** like that! -theoutsider
Kick boxing is ok, but don't expect do beat a man like Rickson Gracie with that. You need a real martial art. You need Xing Yi Quan. -Emptyflower
The splits, how ever, have a few martial uses. Doing the splits for me, can put my fists in testical strike range.
dont ignore the Art for the Martial or else your just kick boxing
Yes i am serious, there are kicks that can block punches. we have them in Moo duk kwan.
I want to learn how to use them in case my arm gets broken in a fight.
what would you have me do? if my arm gets broke, not block punches? -sempi-stone
Mostly, I just sit here. Mostly.

I don't think this was an official 30-man Kumite as I believe towards the end, he received a new ranking. This looked more like a black belt dan test to me but I can be wrong...

That is correct, this is a video from his 3rd dan test.

Secret moves such as hitting a thing with your hand and hitting a thing with your leg have been stolen and degenerated by arts like karate, boxing, muay-thai, Kung-fu, and basketball. -Epicurious
I for one welcome our new Ninja overlords.
I figure fighting a group of chunners would be like water torture, its not the force as such, just the constant trickle of chain punches wearing down your sanity. -The Juggernoob
I am a Ninja bitches!! Deal with it

That test was OK, but come on, where's the KATA!! and the meditation. I didn't see him break one board!!!.
Wimpy ass BB test!!
He didn't do a single Kiai!!!
BJJ might make you a better ground fighter, but Judo will make you a better dancer.

He was kiaiing on the inside.

Kyokushin is for pussies.
Now, if he took the thirty guys all at once, that would be something.

But wiht the hands tied on his back, real KK block punches with the ribs.

That goes without saying.
