What fights have you heard that were "worked"? It has been a while but I read in the book "No Holds Barred: Ultimate Fighting and the Martial Arts Revoluition" by Clyde Gentry, that there is no direct evidence of a worked fight ever having occured in UFC.... BUT, that there was indirect evidence of a possible work in one of the fights back in the early days. I can't now remeber which fight Gentry said but I think your right in that it was essentially and agreement between two fighters where one may have had a broken hand or something.

Anyone else remeber this entry from the book or know of any other "worked" UFC fights?

He was saying that there's a possibility of internal injuries due to "pressure point striking". I call bs since the closest thing to "pressure point strikes" you'll find in the UFC is a joint lock.
You can't make people smarter. You can expose them to information, but your responsibility stops there.

Well, it is bullshit but people have attempted to use PPs in UFC - Ryan Parker, the Okinawan karate guy who fought Remco Pardoel in UFC-7... he got tapped by a choke...
You are a total Douchbag. Train more, post nevermore.

I think you need more Ninjas on Staff....

Or maybe our own TMA forum.

Long before you joined there were separate TMA and MMA forums. They were merged because it was a needless distinction to everyone who trained properly. If you want a forum dedicated to tabi-wearing sillyness you can go... pretty much anywhere else.

    It was a joke :)

I actually like the way the technique forum is done now, with the Grappling (Even those I am not allowed to post there) and Striking with the General Forum. However, I think a Weapons sub forum would be pretty sweet :)

I am suprised a TMA forum ever existed on Bullshido.

ahh I see, well in his defense I believe he was criticizing the UFC's use of 4oz gloves, which give just enough cushion to stop teh d3@dly knuckle PP strikes. Apparently he didn't pay attention to what happened in those early years of UFC and cage fight events when techniques like that were put to the test bareknuckle.
