    Best Martial Arts Books

What are the best books about martial arts out there, be they fictional, technique, biography, philosophy, etc.... Any books related to Martial Arts.

    Two of my favourites:

Angry White Pyjamas by Robert Twigger
Autobiographical book, Robert Twigger teaches English in tokyo and one day realises he is very unhealthy. He decides to start learning aikido to get fit and quickly finds a love of it. He then continues to join the Tokyo Riot Police on a year long course. Robert Twigger is an excellent author and this book captivated me from start to finish. I would recommend it to people both interested and not interested in martial arts.

Karate-Do : My Way of Life by Gichin Funakoshi
The life story of Gichin Funakoshi. Thouroughly entertaining autobiography about Gichin Funakoshi. From when he first started training in karate in the middle of the night, as it was illegal, to his input of popularizing the art of karate. A captivating read for martial artists.

It's their only solution. Because failure is not an option.

    ummm, no?

    Edited for Spelling:

seppuku is reserved for n00bs (like you), idiots (like him) and nutriders like Shuma-Gorath.

I'd like to see a reverse seppuku. Not sure how you'd manage it.

Unante, the secret of karate by John Sells (H.M. Hawley, 822 Gould Avenue, Holliwood, CA 90046). Contains history about Okinawa karate.

Okinawa, the history of an Island People, by George Kerr. This is a history book commissioned to be written to capture the history of Okinawa after WWII. I believe that it has been re-published. You can search Amazon.com to find it.

Sword and Brush, the secrete of the martial arts by Dave Lowery (ISBN 1-57062-112-8) This is a book about Japanese Caligraphy and helps explain some of the kanji used in the martial arts.
People often tell me that I fail to see the gravity of the situation.
I see the gravity, and I say...

Step right up folks and watch me defy gravity!
