There's some judo that looks like that, but it's not very good judo.

What I'm not really clear about is where exactly the guy in red is utilizing Tai Chi techniques. Aren't his maneuvers pretty much indistinguishable from those of the guy in blue?

I have no idea what the hell that was supposed to be. I suppose you can say that Redman does something that in principle is kind of Tai Chi....i.e. maintaining a base, deflection/yielding, and then redirection. The problem is it looks sloppy as all **** to me.

I believe the push hands analogy was probably the best way to look at it. He kept his base solid, tried remain neutral and flow with, but all in all not a stellar performance.

well if you read the post linked by Megalef you see that the guy in red has 1 year of tai chi training so yeah he may not of shown much but he definetly applied Tai Chi principle succesfully.

But he doesn't train 'flower power' tai chi either ;-)

You're slipping, Kagekaze. I'll get it for you...

DAMMIT...is the seppuku icon a KK exclusive?

Anyway, we should all just kill ourselves....on the plus side, I feel a lot better about my own Tai Chi technique now.

Cymro, I can't over use the awesomeness of that icon. Those people aren't on the forum, hence the icon would lost on them.
