I wanna join a Kung Fu school, I was wondering if this is a mcdojo. It doesnt look like it, but i want a second opinion.

Sifu James McNeil teaches kung fu and advanced lovemaking techniques. He charges $2000 for a kung fu summer camp and seminars in Iron Palm.

He's definitely a McDojo. Whether he's Bullshido is a different story.

I think the real question is why you want to train at a school which teaches "Taoist Love Making..."

There are lots of traces of bullshido and/or mcdojoism here. I would suggest signing up for something else rather than this extreme internal arts stuff.

I am no expert at calling Bullshido, but here's some things I noticed.

"Splashing Hands System" RED FLAG

James McNeil is referred to as "Lao Tzu James McNeil" RED FLAG

When you click on the "Little Nine Heavens California Retreat" link, under McNeil's picture at the end of the first paragraph it has the words "advanced Taoist sexual techniques and meditation." RED FLAG

Little Nine Heaven is "only taught to personally picked students" whi have progressed far enough in the other systems he teaches. Translation if you pay me enough I will personally pick you. RED FLAG

In their shop you can buy "Iron Hand Herbs", which in itself is suspect but further down the list you will see "Ancient Love Making Techniques" DVD or VHS.
BIG F****ING RED FLAG.

Not only would I not recommend this place but I would run as fast you can in the opposite direction of this place.

Wow...

I figured the Sex material would simply be Mantak Chia style Taoist Qi Gong material, but damn if it isn't mostly independently produced instructional porn.

I don't have a problem with instructional porn per se and even have some friends who have worked to produce some, but my BS Senses are tingling on this one majorly.

For those that can legally do it follow the links from this site to the origin of the Sex DVDs. The story of "Sifu McNeil" just has to be read.

As for the Kung Fu school, keep shopping. There has to be a better school somewhere in Chicago teaching Kung Fu then this.
