    Everything Wrong with the Bujinkan

This a video of our favorite too deadly to spar ninja from the Bujinkan 15th dan Dale Seago.

    Things to notice:

    1. The only attack is a telegraphed Lunge Punch
    2. Watch the attacker "go dead" after the initial defense.

This is what "Ninjutsu" is has become is most schools (that have legit lineages). Its not longer Ninjutsu but a pussified Japanese Jujutsu.

I caution you this is FAR too deadly stuff, the uke was lucky to survive.

What is funny, is that this video is more alive-sparring then the Bujinkan that I have seen previously.

Still, who would actually attack with a reverse lunge punch? Well I guess a Buj-ninja will.

Isn't Dale Seago also the guy who allegedly defeated a grappler by sticking his hand into his mouth and tearing at his esophagus while passing out from the RNC?

No, Dale is the one who told that story about Jack Hoban. I don't think Jack verified it one way or another nor do I think anyone asked him.

Dale is something of an oddball in a lot of ways.

    Suprsingly helpful at times though.

If I remember Dales contexting right this vid was done for the kid falling down. He was traveling around the US making 30 second clips of the various senior Bujinkan instructors tossing him around. Must be cheaper then finding a good ProDom I guess.

Dale told the story and I was going to go to the site and voice by disbelief with it but for some reason my account never got activated.:eusa_sile I even tried to reenact it with several pple and it just didn't happen.

I guess I could have asked Hoban about it but I had lost intrest in pointing out the fallacies of that story.

I just watched the vid. If all they are doing is having fun then no prob but I see no other useful training from that.

Is it just me or did I not see any specific techniques demonstrated? It all looked very sloppy to me in terms of trying to pass it off as self-defence.

that was pretty good by the instructor, he acts quickly but someone who is trained would not come in like that, it could work on some chump on the street, check out the underhooks here and there and the quick flow, pretty alive for Ninjutsu but they probably don't do this type of stuff till they're "advanced"

From my wrestling/grappling experience, I wish people moved that easily once you got underhooks. I mean it becomes easier but that guy just turns for him and falls on the floor!
