    What is the difference here?

I'm sorry but I don't see a difference in the two cases other than Saddam having 148 shia killed. But the usa detained about 112,000 people of japanese decent. The article talks about ppl being shot for walking outside the fence. But it doesn't say how many died by the hands of the guards nor their bullets.

Why do I bring this up? Well, I was reading aljazeera.net on the saddam trial and thought of the these camps when I read what saddam had to say.

What's your point? I don't even know what you're talking about.

In Richard Marcinko's books, he admits that Navy Seals under his command used car bombs to take out terrorist leaders at Mosques full of innocent people. Howard Zinn talks about it in his book on 9/11, too. Yup, the USA's troops use terrorism, mandated by the USA's government. Discuss.

The losers of any conflict will be the ones to stand trial. While the winners may commit all sorts of atrocities it simply doesn't matter since there's no one who's going to punish them, they won. It's the nasty way things work.

Marcinko is a fiction writer. Many say that even his non-fiction works have a healthy dose of fiction.

The dead know only one thing: it is better to be alive.
You can't make people smarter. You can expose them to information, but your responsibility stops there.

If you're worried about camps, look a little closer to present day:
