I say go with the first one even though they don't stay on for ****. I smacked a git with an axe kick during point sparring once and the velcro attachment popped off. The second one will stay on better but your face shield will fog up and you can't see **** with those things on.

i actually use number one for full contact sparring with face punches as well... as long as you're using gloves as well and get that **** on tight it'll serve you well. yes, it will spin on you when you're getting hit and the bar will **** with your vision a bit, but not enough that you can't fight. and i've seen number two shatter as well... or not shatter as break out of its frame at a really bad angle.

You've got to be joking. Just get a Boxing training headgear and stop being a *****. Consider the Air-Max. I like mine.

The street argument is retarded. BJJ is so much overkill for the street that its ridiculous. Unless you're the idiot that picks a fight with the high school wrestling team, barring knife or gun play, the opponent shouldn't make it past double leg + ground and pound - Osiris
