I've personally hated every piece of Top-Ten gear I have ever picked up. I wouldn't wear the rubberized Top-Ten head gear in hard sparring. I was forced to wear it at an amateur event where they wanted everyone using the same headgear and I thought it was terrible. Only good for preventing cuts. In the gym I want more concussive protection.

Hello,
I'm looking for head gear and I have a few that I liked pretty good:

http://store.titleboxing.com/triumph...-headgear.html
http://www.ringside.com/detail.aspx?ID=25837

The last one is recommended very well on the site but I was wondering about the others.
The issue I'm having is finding a size for my wife. She is tiny (5'2'' size 1) and most of the headgear we find goes down to regular size. -

WHAAAT??!!! I have the Avantegarde model and it's far superior to others that I've tried. Are you sure it was TOP TEN and not some immitation? I've tried a few immitations put out by companies and those didn't absorb the shock at all, it was like I wasn't wearing head gear at all. But anyway TOP TEN also has a leather model which is actually pretty nice, it's got suede lining the inside.
There's also Winning. They probably have the most expensive gear on the planet but there's nothing better. -

I need new gear and the ablity to stay on while grappling, although infrequent, would be a plus. I'm considering these two and I'm leaning towards the rival due to the fit.
