Consolidated Headgear thread (post headgear questions here)

Hey all,

My class needs a heavy duty headgear that could withstand the most punishing blows. I've seen the flismy foam dipped ones with the face mask. I'm looking for something that fully protects the head and would allow the attacker to go full throttle with or without boxing gloves.

I'm at a loss. Should I consider buying something like a motor cycle helmet?

a motorcycle helmit would be extroardinarily gay. Just get some full face boxing headgear.

Huh. Aries has some good stuff. They didn't have those last time I checked them out though.

Look like they'd be heavy and uncomfortable as hell.

Look at Kendo gear. The Men (helmet) in that has a metal mask and thick canvas sides the back however is unprotected.

You can wail on the front as hard as you want.

I just got some nice Cleto Reyes headgear that makes vicious hammerblows to the skull feel like nice fluffy pillows.

I have no idea where you'd get that though, since my boxing coach sold it to me. I don't know where he got it.
