    Hell yeah! Hell no!

    Pikes are always better.

Not only that Mega but the pike is easier and cheaper to make. Stick+knife+fire=basic spear/pike/javilin. Good pike are also cheap since the "hand crafted" blade our friend refered to could be pounded out in about 15 minutes.

That would be the only possible explanation.

Although maybe the saving grace is that when I was still practicing Tong Long and learning the first 3 section staff form; as I span one of the sections flew off like a torpedo and took someone off their feet. He had a Tom and Jerry style bruise before he even got to his feet

So if you can work out how to make the sections fly off at will you might be onto something.
This got me laughing so hard! Thanks for making my night..

Not that someone couldn't use an oar to mess you up. But still, oars.
I'm guessing that you're talking about an Eku (bout as long as a "reg" bo, 6', but the "blade" taking up just over 1/3 of that).

Yes, there are MAs out there that use oars. And I agree that it would hurt like a bitch to be hit by one.

There was a Black Belt article on this - I think they were Hawaiians. Bone breakers.

Lets arrange an oar fight between the two islands. Winner gets financial, military and political independence from the US and Japan.

3 sectional staffs have to be the worst weapon ever. They are lame. My friend got one and managed to injure himself with it straight away. I think I've got a video of it actually, I should post it somewhere.

Why do the Chinese come up with so many shitty weapons? Is it like a national sport or something to see who can come up with the shittiest weapon?

I want to go back in time, smash down the Great Wall of China and let the Mongolians in. That way, the Chinese have to fight them and people with shitty silly weapon like the 3SS will die. Thus ridding the world of many crappy weapons.
