Lung Fu Do Karate Tournament in KC

I traveled to Kansas City, actually Excelsior Springs this weekend to watch a Karate tournament. The tournament was held at the "Lung Fu Do" (Tiger Dragon Karate) school in Excelsior Springs.

It wasn't any different than any other tournament I'd been too. However, the Lung Fu Do style itself I was curious about. It appears to be a combination of techniques taken from multiple styles including Judo and Ju-jitsu. The head instructor for the school named Mark Hurshman does (apparently) have authentic USJA 1st Degree Black Belt certifications in both Judo and Ju-jitsu.
It was founded in the 1960's by a guy named Charles Conley.

Anyway, my question is has anyone else ever heard of this style?

No, and frankly I don't want to learn more about. The name alone is enough to tell me it's crap.

Yeah, I've been getting a lot of that kind of feedback on this question.
I was curious because my brother was taking it and I wanted him to realize it wasn't worth it, but he's already quit.

Anyway, I told my brother that if he wanted to train for real to go to "The Eastside Boxing Club" or out to Crawford's in Overland Park, as those are the only two places I'm (almost) certain are worth attending.
