Depends on the form. Some of them are little sequences of dynamic tension exercises. Some of them are about stretching. Some of them are sequences of very precise, slow, versions of the right mechanics for particular ways of generating power. Some of the fast ones are cardio workouts made up of flashy versions of 'real' moves than are less boring to do that repeating the same movement over and over.

Lots of CMA forms combine some or all of the above.

To understand 'CMA forms' you'd have to pick one in particular and ask people who'd actually studied it.

This is not necessary as TBK already knows everything there is to know about everything.
Shut the hell up and train.

Not quite. He still has to crack that formula for synthetic Pheremone X.

BTW guys I train like any other professional athlete, I run, I spar and I do excercise, even if some of those exercises are horse stance drills and partial forms. Did anybody see the last Ultimate Fighter and the wall sit exercise? Yeah, strong legs or as one of my fighters likes to say "can't shoot a cannon out of a canoe; and before anybody metions weight training I do that too.

BTW I wish my matches at 175 survived the test of time, that's when I had good hand speed.
So basically you work your ass off and you're a good fighter because of it regardless? I'm shocked. Seriously though great video, what did the guy in the cage fight train in?

Props to you Man. That was some good video.

I don't have sound, but I imagine that near the end when it says "Omega's Turn" I hear the voice from Mortal Kombat saying it.

    Nice Topic.

Its true, just because you practice CMA doesn't mean that when you go into the ring, you are going to drop into a horse stance or do some butterfly kick before you enter the ring. It doesn't mean you are going to wait for some opponent to decimate you in some homo-looking cat stance.I do Bagua/xingyi/Taiji now, that doesn't mean I'm not going to throw jabs, crosses, hooks, or even uppercuts. The way I do it is different though, relaxed body, power from legs through waist to fist etc. It doesn't mean I'm going to get into a low stance, or make some crane beak, or walk around in a circle waiting for someone to beat the crap out of me. People who think that CMA fighting is how it looks in movies...or forms for that matter, are just ignorant in the subject in general.Forms are for training, and training only, from learning how to properly co-ordinate your body, energetic principles, to devleoping necessary muscle group and mindset to techniques, it is NOT for fighting.

I have heard Omega used eagle claw in his sambo, that is awesome. I've heard of other's doing the same thing, in groundfighting, and heard it works quite well. But you need the sufficient knowledge, experience grip, and dynamic tension work to have it function well in a real situation I guess. Cheers to omega.

Forgive my ignorance, but different from what?
