    You people are confusing me....

You guys talk like TMA guys do nothing but do forms and kick in the air. That's gay!! I did stupid things like iron vest training (hit me so it doesn't hurt anymore), I kicked trees, bags, hit myself with fucking sticks, I punch from horse stance to understand how to punch from hip and stay there so I understand how it feels to have worn out legs and keep fighting. I do an internal set called blossoming lotus that looks like a tai chi form, to get me in touch with my body movements. I was taught to meditate, yes I do breathing exercises. Season 1 and Season 2 Ultimate fighter standouts Diego Sanchez and Luke Cummo did that stuff too. You see Rickson Gracie do some of this stuff in his video Choke. Maybe there's something to this. You guys are talking like TMA fighters never lifted weight, run, did conditioning. Last time I checked they did all that **** for years.

Then to take it to the higher level, I have coaches to push me, I do modern plyometrics, I spar on every level including throwing on 16oz boxing gloves and just boxing which I suck at and have never taken a formal lesson in. I wrestle with wrestler in which I have never taken a formal lesson in (Judo and SAMBO help though).

It's always bugged people why I claim kung-fu as my main title and not the others. Sorry it was the way I was taught. I can't help it if most CMA guy go for the voodoo cult stuff.

What is called TMA now do NOT do those things. I said it several times MMA fighters are more traditonal than the socalled TMA.

Hey you guys have your opinion, I'm not going to change it, if you say I look like a kickboxer fine I look like a kickboxer (8-0 8 kos proffessional kickboxing record dude). Doesn't bother me, I just say I do kung-fu I don't care what I look like as long as I'm winning.

Okay lets take this off Omega for a second.

What is your definition of CMA sparring TBK and CK?

Where do you you draw you references for CMA vs. KK/MT/KB?

    Thanks.

Many years of Muay Thai vs China bouts. Chinese fighters didn't do all that well until they started to train like fighters.

How is it a trick question?

Watching vcd's of MT vs CMA isn't a good indication. Even in those they are fighting (albiet poorly) with what Omega is doing.

You are watching these wushu guys trying to fight and blame all CMAs. I've seen these same bouts (most likely). These are the preformance based people who believed the Bullshido everyone preaches against, forms are for fighting.

Very interesting. Never thought of it that way.

    Good work Omega.

I particularly like your offensive intent - "to hell with blocking, I'm going to destroy this guy."

Edit: I also like that intent as well, because I've found it to be more useful against partners I'd spar with. They'd concentrate too much on defending themselves as opposed to beating me, so they wouldn't succeed.

This is more what I expect CMA sparring to look like.

I'm on my way to work so, when I don't respond, I'll get back to you.

I agree I thought that way to, and figured that was your reference. I consider that Movie Marketing BS that damaged CMA.

My entire school got in trouble for not figting like that because, it doesn't work. I'll try to find some old school xingyi clips. The really good fighters looked like boxers or kick boxers.

It went underground like Baji because it isn't "pretty."

Now, I have a reference and can see what you mean.

    Thanks.

Aw jesus, that video... What's with creepy white guys with long hair in martial arts? I'd love to grab onto his nasty-ass hair and then just book it.
