It wasn't so much the MT fighters. Sanda has more than a few moves aimed specifically at countering MT techniques. A throw from the clinch range is one such move.
The KO clip's ref was a pain in the ass. If the sanda guy didn't get a knock out when he did, he would have probably went for the ref. -

Man that supports my theory that only thing that seperates muay thai from TKD is the conditioning and leg kicks. *hangs head in shame* I can't believe I list MT as one of the arts I studied. It was years ago though in Tulsa in the late 80's when I was an easily dazzled McDojo kid. After seeing the MT boxer get spanked like that I must club myself with a ballpeen hammer to unlearn what I have learned.
