Turning the foot in like that gives your opponent a better chance to escape and more time to kick you in the face. I enjoy my face shaped the way it is now.

    Yes.

That's an ankle lock, not a heel hook.

"Everyone, including both fighters, predicted a quick finish between Arlovski and former UFC heavyweight champ Tim Sylvia for the interim heavyweight title. It was Arlovski (8-3-0) from Minsk, Belarus, who got the upper hand knocking down Sylvia (19-2-0) from Davenport, Iowa, with a hard right, then applying a heel hook that forced Sylvia to tap out at the 47-second mark of the fight. However I can't really tel from that picture, it might have been an ankle lock

"UFC 51: Super Saturday (02/05/2005): Arlovski defeated former UFC World Heavyweight Champion Tim Sylvia for the “Interim” Heavyweight Championship by ankle lock at: 47 of the first round."

Ok So I am wrong UFC says it's an ankle lock

Unless I'm really wrong, in order for that to be a heel hook, Sylvia's right knee would have to be pointed more toward the ceiling.
