Pure Kung Fu... not good. Like that guy in the Bullshido video archives that gets taken down and... broken.

Kung Fu mixed with BJJ or grappling of some sort... not bad. You got Asia, Omega, and Delucia.

I've seen that fight, the guy was tapping for ages before his arm was broken. I can understand Royce not giving up the lock until the match was ended, but why didn't the ref see the taps and stop the fight? Pretty callous if you ask me.

They do Ram Muay before matches (dead giveaway)
They wear Monkons into the ring (another dead giveaway)

Any denial of these is simply PRC propoganda and shows that you are a commie pig.
Ah, I didn't realize you were just trolling. Carry on.

Not many Kung Fu guys will admit their anti-grappling doesn't work... so props.
Hadn't Delucia already been beaten down in a Gracie in Action tape? I've always wondered what happened in the interim that made him think it would go any different. Not that he doesn't get much respect for, among other things, his attempt to reconstitute Aikido in a more fighty way.

Didn't Ken Shamrock immediately want a rematch with Royce after his UFC 1 loss? Ken did not even compete in UFC 3 because he would not be fighting Royce. Its natural for someone who just lost a fight to ask for a rematch. Especially since Royce was not very well known back then.

Jason seems to just like to fight. I think he is 33-20-1. Most of this record was in Pancrase and was after UFC 1. Rather than having that fight discourage him, it just seemed to fire him up. When he fought Royce, I think he was 2-0 in UFC fights. Its a pity those fights are not part of the official UFC footage.

Delucia was pretty decent. Joel Sutton won his fights at UFC's 7 and 8. Onassis Pagano won his UFC fights. There's some BJJ schools in China now and MMA events in China, so thats a good sign for CMA. CMA didn't fare as bad in MMA as people think. Just for whatever reason they didn't believe in cross training, they grappling as some sort of threat, which is sad.
Muay Thai shorts are just comfortable, I owned a pair and I didn't even kick. The thai bag and thai pads were a great inovation by the Thais and both are now becoming the standard for most MA schools. I've never seen a San Da competitor do the Ram Muay or wear Monkons unless they WERE Thai fighters competeing in San Da. I think in a few years you'll see some more CMA and JMA in MMA.
