If there is a good explanation for why either of the techniques pictured are at all valid, I'd like to hear it. Bigger pictures are available in Dr._Tzun_Tzu's gallery or from me on request if he removes them.

man why is it the big man in society is generally oblivious to the existence of the big men's clothing store? Being fat is bad enough, there's no need to pack yourself into a cotton knockwurst tube on top of it.

Can you explain whats wrong with them? Other than the horrible fashion sense.

First of all... Tzu does WC and Latosa Escrima... and I'm pretty sure that falls under escrima and not WC... so this is actually an Arnis thread.

The problem with it from an Arnis perspective is that it is an under controlled harada/sumbrada and so as a block its dangerous and he's going to get cut...

From an MA perspective its silly as its in the standard stupid MA format -- an idiot throws an idiot strike (this time with a blade) that our MAer blocks, at this point our idiot is frozen in time, then our MAer counters with a movement that is easily counterable.

My last point is: give Dr Tzu a break... he put those pics up there in the spirit of sharing information I don't think he deserves people singling him out for a character assassination. Someone could do the same to Shuma's sparring video easily enough.... Tzu has a number of sparring videos around the place too... if you are going to analyse something then analyse those.

I know my performance from a year ago was complete ass. The good doctor, on the other hand, was defending WC antrigrappling today so I am calling his very grip on reality into question.
